What makes these enclosures the best? Our frames are easily assembled, without the need for joins in the middle of the poles. We use premium quality products to ensure your enclosure lasts for many years. We design these to be safe, sturdy and provide the best image possible for great gameplay. The screen is fully detachable, which not only allows for an easy setup, but for proper maintenance to be done. The last thing you need is to purchase another frame just to replace or repair a screen.

How long should my impact screen last? The lifespan of a golf impact screen can vary greatly depending on a few main factors, the quality of your screen, how far your hitting zone is from your screen, and how well you maintain it. Higher quality screens, like the ones we manufacture in Australia are made with stronger materials, and can withstand hundreds of thousands of shots, while lower quality screens may only last a few thousand. How often you use the screen, the cleanliness of your equipment, and how well you care for the screen will all affect its lifespan. We recommend a hitting zone about 3 metres from the screen to increase the dispersion of your shots, and the broadness of your main impact zone on the screen. Tips to extend the life of your screen: Use clean, new golf balls. Avoid using balls with markings or scratches. Always clean your clubs if you’ve used them outdoors. Avoid over-stretching the screen on installation.

How quickly can you install a golf simulator? This depends on your desired setup, your skillsets and your available time! We’ve seen rooms transformed within hours, and projects that are continually upgraded over a number of years. Generally the key components to get you playing can be set up in a weekend, assuming you have the available space to work with.

How easy is it to configure a launch monitor? Each manufacturer will have their own unique setup requirements, but the process generally involves downloading the software and some basic guided setup. Generally this is completed within a matter of minutes.

How far away should my projector be?The ideal distance for your golf simulator projector depends on a few factors: Projector throw ratio: This is a specification listed by the projector manufacturer that tells you the relationship between the distance the projector is from the screen and the width of the projected image. For instance, a throw ratio of 1.0 means that for every foot the projector is from the screen, the projected image will be one foot wide. Desired screen size: You'll need to know the width of the image you want to project to fill your golf simulator screen. Space limitations: The minimum distance you can place the projector depends on the throw ratio and how much space you have behind the hitting area. You want to avoid the projector being in range of your swing or casting a shadow on the screen. Here's a general guideline: Projector throw ratio: For golf simulators, projectors with a throw ratio between 0.5 and 1.1 are ideal. This allows for placement behind the hitting area while still projecting a large image. Minimum distance: Due to safety concerns and shadow avoidance, you'll typically want at least 2.5 metres between the projector and the screen. Overall distance: Considering throw ratio, screen size, and minimum safe distance, the projection distance between the projector and screen in a golf simulator is normally at least 3.5 metres and can be up to 4.5 metres, or even more in some situations.

What is better - floor or ceiling mounted launch monitors? The best choice between a floor-mounted and ceiling-mounted launch monitor depends on your specific setup and priorities. Floor mounted launch monitors can be great when you have a limited space or budget, and can tend to be more flexible with where you place them in relation to your screen, also ceiling heights or mounts aren’t a factor. Although positioning does become a consideration for lefties, and you want to ensure it isn’t placed where there will be foot traffic so it doesn’t become a trip hazard. A ceiling mounted monitor generally creates a more streamlined and professional look for your setup, they also tend to have a larger hitting zone so play becomes a little easier. Due to their positioning they also tend to capture slightly more datapoints so can be more useful for game improvement. If you plan to adjust the layout of your simulator, or intend on using your launch monitor on the range. A floor based monitor with a battery is what you will want. If you are aiming for a clean, professional setup, a ceiling mounted launch monitor is highly recommended. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your individual needs and preferences. Consider your space, budget, and desired level of adjustability when making your decision.

What are the main differences between launch monitors? There are a few key differences between golf launch monitors that can impact your decision on which one to choose: Radar vs. Camera-Based: Radar can be more expensive, is often used by professionals as it excels outdoors with a clear view of the ball flight. It tracks the ball using radar to calculate launch conditions. Camera-Based: Works best indoors in smaller spaces, using high-speed cameras to capture the ball's movement and calculate launch metrics. Data Points: Launch monitors provide a variety of data points about your swing and ball flight. The number and detail of these points can vary based on the manufacturer. Basic models might offer just clubhead speed and carry distance, while advanced models can track ball spin rates, launch angle, descent angle, and even clubface impact location. Some launch monitors come with additional features like: Simulation software: Allows you to play virtual rounds on famous courses. Video recording: Capture your swing for analysis. App connectivity: Track your progress over time and analyze data on your phone or tablet.
-
How does a launch monitor work?Launch monitors are essentially tiny ball tracking machines that use different technologies to capture data on your swing and the subsequent ball flight. We specialize in providing extremely high accuracy camera based systems which work best with indoor golf simulator setups. Once the launch monitor has captured the ball's movement, it combines and processes the data to calculate various key metrics which are seamlessly transferred into your simulator software for display. The best launch monitors and systems will provide accurate data with zero lag in displaying that data.

What are the most important factors to consider when choosing a projector?A good projector is an essential part of a good home golf simulator. It projects the digital feed of the simulator software onto the impact screen so that you can see your ball fly in front of you, making the experience real. You will want to consider: the ability to project an image to the size and aspect ratio of your intended screen, the ability to produce a high enough resolution that you are happy with, the ability to be mounted at a position/height you are comfortable with, and will be out of reach of your swing, the capability of replicating the brightness and colour you are accustomed to on the golf course. You will want to aim for at least a 5000 lumen projector. the durability of the projector. Lamp based projectors typically last 5,000 hours, but laser based projectors will last 20,000 or more.
